300 King Street West
Downtown Toronto
Toronto’s Princess of Wales theatre is one of Canada’s premier venues for the performing arts. This new Toronto theatre has one of the largest stages in North America, hosting some of the most spectacular, technically advanced plays and musicals in existence. Located just west of Roy Thomson Hall on King Street, The Princess of Wales is one of four major Toronto theatres owned or managed by Mirvish Productions. The 2000-seat theatre opened in 1993 with the musical Miss Saigon and has since hosted numerous major theatrical productions.
The theatre’s horseshoe shaped seating plan and two balconies mean that no seat is more than 85 feet from the stage. Each level is wheelchair and elevator-accessible, and has its own bar and refreshment centre. The interior is impeccably designed with plush seating and carpeting and is adorned with works of art including a spectacular ceiling mural covering 10,000 square feet.
You’ll find the Princess of Wales in the heart of Toronto's Entertainment District, near major Toronto attractions like the CN Tower, the Rogers Centre (SkyDome), the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the Eaton Centre and downtown shopping district.
